Diagnostic Policy
Diagnostic Services:
A diagnostic is a professional service performed to identify the cause of a vehicle concern. Diagnostics may include scanning vehicle systems, testing components, inspections, and applying professional knowledge to determine the (most likely cause) of the issue.
Diagnostics are a PAID SERVICE and are not the same as repair labor.
Diagnostic Fee:
The diagnostic fee is $75
The diagnostic fee is required BEFORE or AT the time that diagnostics are performed
Diagnostic fees are NON-REFUNDABLE
Diagnostic fees are separate from repair, labor, and parts.
Payment of the diagnostic fee does not obligate the customer to approve services.
What The Diagnostic Fee Covers:
Time spent inspecting and testing the vehicle
Use of diagnostic tools and equipment
Professional evaluation of the concern
Explanation of findings

What The Diagnostic Fee Does NOT Cover:
Repair Labor
Parts
Programming or calibration
Multiple or unrelated diagnostic concerns
Guaranteed repair results
Additional diagnostic time or testing beyond initial concern may require additional fees
Repair Estimates and Authorization:
After diagnostics are completed, findings will be explained to customer
A repair estimate will be provided when, if at all, possible
No repairs are performed without customer approval
Approval may be given in writing or by text message

Important Disclosures:
Diagnostic results are based on condition of vehicle at time of inspection
Vehicle systems are complex; a diagnostic identifies the MOST LIKELY CAUSE, not a guarantee.
Some issues may require additional diagnostics if new symptoms appear
Completing a diagnostic does NOT guarantee that repairs will fully resolve the issues

Customer Responsibility:
The customer is responsible for deciding whether to approve or decline repairs
Declined repairs may affect vehicle safety or performance and will be documented
Customer-supplied parts are installed at customers risk and are not warrantied

Payment Terms:
The $75 diagnostic fee is due regardless of whether repairs are approved
Failure to pay may result in refusal of further services
The diagnostic fee is due before diagnostic begins or at time of diagnosis
Paying with a card issues a 3% processing fee on top of state taxes
Paying with cash does not include the 3% processing fee

Right To Refuse Service:
We reserve the right to refuse or discontinue service due to:
Non-payment
Unsafe working conditions
Incomplete or inaccurate vehicle information
Abusive, aggressive, or inappropriate behavior __________________________________________________________________
Customer Acknowledgement:
By authorizing diagnostic services, the customer acknowledges and agrees to this diagnostic policy including the $75 diagnostic fee
